Workshop Description

Learn all about the Nusa Penida Marine protected area and the coral triangle to gain a greater appreciation of how special this area is.

In this workshop conducted by Georgina Hayes, our in-house Marine Biologist, you will get a general understanding of the coral triangle and the Nusa Penida marine protected area. Firstly learn what biodiversity means and why that is important when selecting areas to create marine parks, how diverse the earth actually is, the coral triangle, south east asia pacific and then finally the marine protected area itself. Learn how the Marine park is divided and what actually had to take place to establish the Nusa Penida MPA.

This workshop is intended for any divers or individuals visiting the coral triangle or Nusa Penida/Ceningan/Lembongan who want to understand more about the area they are diving in.

This workshop is part of our originally created series at Ceningan Divers. You can complete each module individually or as a part of our Marine Conservation Diver Certification Program.
